MHC advisers only charge flat fees for financial advice. As fiduciaries, our advisers are also ethically bound to put their clients’ interests first.

Our Managing Director is H. Wu, MTax, AFC®. Wu’s career started in the 1990s. Wu is an accomplished consultant with over 25 years of professional experience. Wu is also a member of an established collaborative financial planning and legal practice group.
To serve the complex needs of clients, Wu completed CPA, CFP®, CIMA®, and CFA Level I education and experience requirements. Prior to this role, Wu founded TheMoneySpot™, a tax consulting business, and MyMoneyPlan™, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation.

In 2014, fund manager and former semiconductor chip engineer Xia Dai founded a firm named Madrone Hill Capital, LLC. It was a registered investment adviser firm located at Madrone Hill Road in Saratoga, California. Through that investment firm, Dai and associates managed a successful hedge fund.
Dai was highly respected for research and analysis of tech sector equities. Dai also had a tireless drive to continuously read and analyse economic data.
The late Xia Dai was a mentor to H. Wu, MTax, AFC®. Wu consulted for Dai’s firm weekly for three years, providing tax research and analysis. Wu also sourced and reviewed geopolitical research. Wu had previously earned an M.S. in Taxation and a B.A. in International Relations: World Economics.
During that time, Wu was also trained in, and performed, tech sector buy-side equity research. Wu was not an employee of Dai’s firm, but Dai guided and supported Wu’s financial consulting career. In addition to mentoring, Dai sponsored Wu to complete a Certificate in Investment Management through Yale.
After H. Wu, MTax, AFC® completed the Yale Investment Management programme, Wu founded a financial planning 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation. To help expatriates who reside in California to expand their lower middle market companies, Wu established a financial consulting firm in San Francisco.
